Finnotec 2019, convened at the Pullman Auckland attracted about 200 attendees. With speakers from a diverse range of backgrounds delving deep into multiple fintech streams, attendees were immersed in the latest thought-pieces in the sector combined with networking among the who’s who in the New Zealand fintech community.

Topics covered included how to go about building an innovation culture from within a large incumbent financial services provider, how a future tech-enabled central bank might look like as well as the indomitably rising trend of the API economy. Some of the other topics included Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and design thinking for product developers. The day was rounded off by a deep dive into open banking opportunities in New Zealand from a high powered panel.
